after a long sabbatical i am back to blogging - i will keep the blog stirctly non- cs and non- wrk related.
i have managed to reach seattle and my apartment too. right now i am wrking from an indian family's house(they have 3 month's old very sweet daughter) who invited me for dinner and am writing mail from the guest room of their huge house. so i have all my privacy :). i still have a bit of jet lag.
my apartment is really cool - two bedroom with all furnishing (u know there are dishwashers and two master bathrooms etc and i am certain i can do away with most of the gadgets). anyways will send the pictures if i continue to remain awed by it.
mausam ka haal chaal- not cold waise though one might need a jacket (anshu might not need if she was here). aprtment is heated so nothing is reqd. fall is approaching so trees have orange-red leaves now and there are beautiful maple trees. my apartment is in the ground floor and there is a trree right in frnt of the window (btw there is no concept of opening the windows :)
food wise i guess i have to cook because even their spicy is bland for me boohoohoo... the house is afterall not close to the campus so i have no choice but to drive though our right side is their left side and ofcouse i dont know the roads as well. drank some strawberry lemonade (lopts of strawberry stuffed in lemon juice and i thought it was simple and great)
pple are helpful..darinee picked me up from the airport (i saw bewithed and beauty and the beast on the plane - every seat had individual tvs (new for me)). reena dropped of lots of grocery stuff as a surprise in the morning (but i cudnt open their cans :(). the housing services couriered lots of chocs and stuff. now bama and her husband are so sweet they have invited me for dinner and wil ltake me for shopping anmd show me the route to my office.
\r\nhave to get my pickup car tom. rest is fine..afterall US is not that big a deal. i mean the luxury is expected so you dont enjoy it that much because you dont get overwhelmed for atleast not more than few secs.
